Overview

The mission of the Pike County Criminal Investigation

Division is to support the overall mission of the Sheriff’s Office by conducting factual investigations that lead to arrests and the successful prosecution of individuals who prey upon law-abiding citizens.

The detectives assigned to this division investigate crimes involving homicide, rapes, robbery, assault, burglary, theft, fraud, forgery, computer crimes, and elder/dependent abuse. Detectives utilize information from crime analysts and partnerships with other jurisdictions to identify criminal trends and serial offenders. Detectives provide information, resources, and training to patrol deputies and obtain and serve search warrants.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is comprised of 6 full-time Investigators. The Investigations Division handles all felony cases and deaths that occur in the county's jurisdiction, as well as some municipalities. Investigators work closely with law enforcement officers from other agencies in our county and surrounding counties, the Department of Human Resources, the Southwest Mississippi Children’s Advocacy Center, and the District Attorney's Office.
