🐾 Honoring Deceased K-9 Hercules (Herc)
The Pike County Sheriff’s Office respectfully honors the life and service of K-9 Hercules, affectionately known as Herc.
In 2021, Detective Brandi DeMoll, Herc’s K-9 handler, received a heat alarm system for Herc through the generosity of an anonymous donor. This ACE K-9 Hot-N-Pop Pro system provided essential protection throughout Herc’s years of dedicated service.
After Hercules retired in 2024, he remained a beloved member of our agency and community. Following his untimely passing in 2025, Detective DeMoll chose to continue Herc’s legacy by donating the heat alarm system to future K-9 Deputy Codi Whittington, ensuring it will protect another loyal four-legged deputy.
To further honor his memory, Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones and the entire Pike County Sheriff’s Office created a special decal recognizing Hercules’ unwavering dedication, loyalty, and commitment. His service will never be forgotten, and his legacy lives on through those who follow in his pawprints.
