Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy Damian Gatlin Answers the Call
Chief Deputy Gatlin recently partnered with Dr. Takesha Isaac at Osyka Elementary School, where he met with 4th and 5th-grade students to discuss the serious issue of cyberbullying and the importance of speaking up when something does not feel right.
During his visit, he emphasized personal responsibility and safety, reinforcing the powerful message: “See something, say something.” His warm, approachable, and friendly manner created a comfortable environment for students to ask questions and engage openly. By doing so, he helped students view law enforcement as trusted partners within their community.
Chief Deputy Gatlin’s visit not only strengthened positive relationships between students and law enforcement, but also empowered young people to make safe and responsible choices—both online and in their daily lives.
We are proud of his leadership and dedication to serving beyond the badge.
