As promised, Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones continues to ensure that trash is removed along state highways and county roads throughout Pike County.

We care about our county, and this effort reflects our commitment to keeping Pike County clean, safe, and beautiful.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) and Commissioner Charles Busby for the donation of the cleanup truck. We truly value and appreciate all of our donors for their continued support.

A special thank you to Correctional Officer Kim Wallace and the inmates for leading this cleanup effort.

Chief Damian Gatlin and the dedicated men and women of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office proudly supported the 2026 Magnolia Mardi Gras Parade and Carnival, helping ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for all attendees.

Deputies and support staff assisted with traffic control, crowd management, and public safety efforts throughout the parade and carnival festivities. Their visible presence and proactive planning helped create a secure environment for families, visitors, and community members to celebrate safely.

A special thank you to DJ Aaron for providing the music on the Sheriff “Wally” Jones Mardi Gras float. The energy and incredible music added to the excitement and spirit of the celebration.

On February 4, 2026, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT), with assistance from the Parish County Line Task Force and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant on Brine Street in McComb, Mississippi, in reference to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the execution of the search warrant, Jerome Woodard was taken into custody.

Woodard has been charged with:
• Two counts of Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon
• Manufacturing a Controlled Substance
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute within 1,500 feet of a Church

This operation represents a joint effort among multiple law enforcement agencies working together to combat Narcotics and Gun Violence in our communities.

This is an ongoing investigation.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
